Ava Turns 2 (September 4th)!

Ava had a great 2nd birthday party surrounded by some of her favorite thingg: puppies, her family and her best friend Ben!

Eli 7 Months

Time is going so fast! At seven months Eli has 4.5 teeth and is sitting really well. His favorite activity these days is sitting on the floor surrounded by toys. He has gotten really good at bringing everything to his mouth.

First Day of School!

Eli 6 months

This blue eyed cutie melts my heart. He is practicing sitting, loves the jumperoo and smiles often. We had a little set back with baby food and he has decided that only chunks of food will do for him so he is now eating off of our plates. He currently has 2 teeth. He has experimented with the high chair and shopping cart and done great.


At the doctor, he measured:

Weight: 19 lbs 13 oz (88 percentile)
Height: 28 inches (95 percentile)
Head: 44 cm

Eli 4 & 5 months

Eli has been busy growing. At his 4 month appointment he was:

Weight: 17 3/4 lbs
Height: 27 inches

He's now wearing 12-18 month clothes! He's had a little bit of foods including rice cereal, sweet potatoes and pears.


Eli has rolled over a few times from his belly to his back but probably needs to spend more time on his belly.
I love how he watches me or his sisters as we move about the house though lately he's started crying if he sees me walk away. He's learned how to hang out in the exersaucer and jumperoo.


At night Eli goes to bed around 7 and is getting up 2-3 times :(.

Dance Recital

This was our first year of ballet. The girls took from Mrs. Tracy at Dance Dynamics an had a blast! For the recital they danced to Spring has Sprung at the Louisburg College auditorium.

Maddie turns 6!

On April 29th, Maddie turned 6!


She loves all things from the Frozen movie so she wanted to do a Frozen theme complete with a visit from Elsa herself. They played pin the tale on Olef, had storytime and of course sang
'Let it Go'.

He's Rolling Over

Yesterday (May 31st) Eli rolled over for the first time! He was on his playmat doing some tummy time and he got his legs up under him and pushed himself over several times. Here's the end result:

Piano Recital

It's that time of year where everything is finishing up. Anna had her end of the year piano recital at the NRCA Fine Arts Center. She played 'Quiet River' and 'Can You Feel the Love Tonight'. I am so proud of how much she has learned this first year of piano!

Eli 3 Months

Eli turned 3 months on May 19th. He's continuing to grow and grow and grow. He can now even fit into some 12 month clothes! He's doing really good at tummy time and loves to smile at his sisters.

While at 2 months he had gotten to only waking once at night and sleeping in his own bed, he is now back in the rocker in our room and getting up 2-3 times. He likes being swaddled to keep his arms from waking him up.

Eli is such a sweet boy!

Elijah 2 month

Weight: 14 lbs 8 oz (91 percentile)
Height: 24.25 inches (94 percentile)
Head: 40.75 cm (93 percentile)

* Started swaddling and getting him into a pattern of going to sleep (only wakes up once at night)
* Cooing
* Smiling
* loves to watch his sisters

Ava: 18 months

Ava is a super smiley little girl and full of life. She loves being around people (even if its via facetime). She is talking so much with her favorite words being 'baby' and 'hat'. She loves sweets, reading books and carrying around a baby doll at all times. She adores her sisters and loves to chase them around. She is sweet to her brother who she refers to as 'E-I'. This little girls brings so much joy to our family.

Father Daughter Dance

In February, Anna and Maddie went to a Father Daughter Dance at their dance studio. The event was a little crowded but the pictures together are adorable :).

Maddie on two wheels

Maddie wanted to take her training wheels off to ride like sister. Erik took them off and within ten minutes she was riding great! Now she asks to ride her bike every day and even rode 5 miles on the trail.

Elijah 1 Month

Still catching up....

At Elijah's one month appointment he was:

Weight: 11 lbs 15.5 ounces (91 percentile)
Height: 22.7 inches (91 percentile)
Head: 39.1 cm (92 percentile)

At one month he is eating well, sleeping great (will go 4-5 hours at night) and starting to outgrow his 0-3 month clothes. His demeanor seems laid back to me but he has a screech of a cry that is rather demanding. His eyes are still a dark blue and the little hair he has is blonde. He is a such a joyful addition to our family!
