Six years separates these pictures. The same outfit, love for a sippy cup and even the same walker in the background. Life chasing a curious little one with another little bundle on the way. It could all feel similar but praise be to God that I am not the same; that the Lord has grown me and is continuing to grow me in Him. How I love these little blessings the Lord has given our family (and of course the spunky little girl in between and the little boy I am still not sure I am going to know what to do with :)). I can't wait to look back over the next 6 years and all the Lord is going to do in our family.

Fall Activities

The fall is off to a busy start with lots of school and after school activities. Here's a few cute pics from the last month.

Maddie had a great field trip with Mrs. Daley's class to Vollmer Farms, though it was HOT!


Anna had Noah's Ark day at school where all of the kids dressed as Noah's family or animals from the ark. Anna was a panda bear.


Indian Princesses. Anna (little yellow sun) and Erik (silver moon) are a part of the Neuse River Indians tribe in Bedford.

All went great at Ava's one year checkup.

Anna and Maddie were super excited for their first day of school.

Ava 11 Months!

She's on the go!

Ava is at last crawling!

Ava: 10 Months

This month Ava has been busy growing her teeth, she now has 8! She is continuing to slowly work her way towards crawling. She can now get on all 4's, rock forward, slide to her belly and then push herself back on all 4's to a sitting position.

The cutest additions are her little ramblings. She's been saying 'mama', 'dada', and 'nitenite' intermixed with a few 'baba's'. She is starting to copy us and will play peekaboo and lay her head on the floor when you tell her to go night, night.

Ava brings such a joy to our family!

Ava: 9 Months

Ava is continuing to enjoy sitting on the floor and playing with toys, especially if I sit down beside her. She's not crawling yet but has just started trying to go forward from the sitting position and testing out her arm strength. With the warmer weather she has enjoyed being outside in the pool, swing and going for walks around the block. She is a master at eating and really enjoys finger foods. She has 4 adorable little teeth that she loves to smile and show others.

Weight: 17.3 lbs (25%)
Height: 26.5 inches (20%)
Head: 45cm (60%)

Her weight has plateaued a little so I was encouraged to start giving her more table foods.
