Ava: 1st Tooth

After what feels like months of chewing on her fingers, a tooth finally popped through!

Daddy Daughter Dance

On Saturday Erik, Anna and Maddie headed to the Father Daughter Dance at the Bedford Clubhouse. They enjoyed dancing with their friends, eating snacks and dressing up for the photo booth.

Tummy Time

Ava is starting to enjoy a little time on her belly each day. Before now she would usually cry (or try to lick the playmat).


This week she figured out how to roll over. It is currently not so graceful as she pushes off and thunks onto her back looking around to see what happened.


It won't be long before she will be everywhere :).

Ava: 5 Months

Ava is now 5 months. In general she is a happier baby enjoying smiling at everyone she meets. She will hang out in the jumperoo or bumbo for a little while, especially if her sisters are entertaining her. We're still working on not getting up so much at night, she really loves the nighttime cuddles.

Clothes Going the Distance

After we had Maddie we gave away most of our baby stuff. I kept one random Christmas outfit (which actually did work for Ava to wear in December) but everything else went to friends, family, kids exchange and goodwill. Some of the cloths went to my closest friend who has returned them (and about 10 other containers of clothes!) which has been a huge blessing to us. Whenever I put an outfit on Ava that was Anna's, it reminds me of moments in Anna's life and of pictures filed away. Here's one I recently found (Anna then Ava):



Yeah for clothes lasting 6+ years!

Christmas in Pictures

Ava 4 Months

Ava turned 4 months today. Her personality has gotten so fun now that she smiles and coos and giggles. She loves watching the girls move about and chewing on her fingers. Now that she has more head control she's also enjoying tummy time more and starting to spend a few minutes in the exersaucer.
